Response Management Technologies (RMT) was founded in 1985 by Mal Warwick, owner and CEO of the direct response fundraising firm Mal Warwick and Associates (MWA).

As direct mail fundraising expanded dramatically in the 1980's, returns from MWA's direct mail solicitations for nonprofit organizations increased. With this increase came the realization by many organizations that they simply did not have the staff nor expertise to process the donor gifts and correspondence they were receiving. MWA could not legally receive and process checks for their clients, and finding a company that understood direct mail and provided reliable data processing and financial services was near to impossible. So, Mal founded RMT to provide the needed support for direct mail fundraising that he couldn't find anywhere else.

RMT does the work of opening mail and processing deposits, so nonprofit organizations are free to focus their energy on their cause.
